I am 10 weeks pregnant with my second child. I gained 80 pounds with my son and I am trying desperately not to do that again, but I am not holding my breath ;-) With my ever increasing waist, hip, bust.. everything line.. I needed to start making some maternity clothes. Call me crazy, but I can never find maternity clothes that I like AND I do not like spending money on something that might last me a month or two. So, I made this skirt. I love it. I made it with a maternity band so as I progress in my pregnancy I can cover my belly up a tad more if need be.
I used this very easy pattern found here: Sew Mamma Sew and then I added a maternity band (a very stretchy knit) to the waistband.

Somewhat back....
Oh the joys of unpacking and being pregnant while watching a toddler. It's been a crazy couple of weeks. My new pregnancy has me feeling a tad nauseous and a tad tired so my blogging and crafting time has taken a great big hit.
Before all this chaos.. I was busy making a few things. An order on Etsy came through for a knit hat with "Brooklyn" on the front and a cute onesie set for a twin boy and girl. After much contemplation, I thought of pac-man and the mrs. I was really happy with the results.. Don't you just miss those two???
Then I was busy making a present for a dear friend whose baby came really early. So I was frantically trying to finish it.. not even thinking that I had a good 9 months until this would fit. I have been wanting to make this sweater vest for a long time. I love it! I don't know why the lines don't seem to match up in the picture.. they do in real life. Oh well!
I am currently working on a birthday shirt for my friend Cindy and a baby shower gift for another dear friend. I also just received my "Made By Lora" sew in tags. I can't wait to show you and use these!
Happy May to everyone!
